De Banana is rooted in Thai tradition. The tasty snack was originally created in traditional ways as a part of village culture. It was created by moms and aunties as a healthy nutritional snack for anyone in the family. One such 'Auntie' caught on to the idea that this 'banana roll' could be sold as a way to supplement family income. Since she had 18 years experience in remote areas of Kanchanaburi province with the Royal irrigation department, she was able to learn from village housewives the secrets to making this delicious little snack.And so 'Auntie' and 11 others formed a little business, making and selling the Banana Rolls. They were careful to follow the exact recipe and ingredients of the traditional snack, and sought to improve the taste and quality by sourcing quality bananas.

Today 'Auntie' is the sole remaining entrepreneur able to sustain the business model of a high quality product without sacrificing tradition. JP & C (Thailand) Co. Ltd. was founded and the 'De Banana' brand launched, using traditional recipes and staying true to Thai origins.

จากสมาชิกแม่บ้าน 11 คนที่ได้วิชาชีพ แตกไปตั้งธุรกิจตนเอง ทว่าจนแล้วจนรอด ได้ ทยอยเลิกกิจการด้วยพิษเศรษฐกิจ ปัจจุบัน เหลือเพียง ‘ป้าแอ้ว’ ที่นอกจากยังคงอยู่ ยัง สามารถทำารายได้เป็นกอบเป็นกำาและคง คุณภาพของรสชาติไว้ตามเดิม สูตรที่ใช้ ได้ สืบต่อมาเป็นบริษัท เจพีแอนด์ซี และแบรนด์ De Banana ในที่สุด จีงเรียกได้ว่าเป็นสูตร ‘ออริจินอล’ ไทยแท้เพียงหนึ่งเดียวที่ลงเหลือ มาจนถึงปัจจุบัน
